Beer we go again!!
As we start the countdown to Pocktoberfest 2014 (11th Anniversary) – we’re fully committed to raising as much money for local charities as possible. So we look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday 25th October 2014 - Pocklington Rugby Club - 12 noon
What's going on we hear you say: 'it's been off, it's been on, it's been off again.....'. Well we can assure you now, we're committed to and it's most definitely on! We just couldn’t let you down!
We are sorry to say that due to essential building works at the Old Railway Station, we have been unable to hold to an event there this year. We would once again like to extend our deepest thanks to Pocklington School, and hope that in the future we can join forces for another Pocktoberfest. A huge thank you also to Pocklington Arts Centre who have brought a fantastic music festival to life at the Old Railway Station for the past 3 years. And to all our dedicated friends of Pocktoberfest for their tremendous efforts in organising the event.
We just couldn't bring ourselves to let the event slip by this year, its become a special date on everyone's calendar, and been a great source of funding for both local and national charities for years.
So what's the plan? By very kind permission of the Pocklington Rugby Club, we have been allowed to stage the event at the club. We'll be putting up a marquee behind the club on Saturday October 25th. Doors will open at 12 noon and beer, cider and wine will be served until 10pm.
We also plan to have some local music, snacks and food.
We're delighted to tell you that this year we shall again be looking forward to supporting the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), a fantastic charity who on average rescue 22 people a day from the UK coast and sea.
And please don't forget folks, nobody makes a penny from this, its all for charity.
See you on Saturday 25th October!
